The training for the second intake of the All-Ukrainian Academy i-Tree 4 UA has come to an end. It is sad that our interesting and lively online meetings are over, but we are full of hope that the knowledge gained during the course will be used and we will get more and more trees preserved.
The geography of the second batch of students was very wide: from Kryvyi Rih to Khust, from Chernihiv to Odesa – 45 communities in total. In total, more than 100 students registered for the course, and more than 60 of them actively participated in the training.
The participants included national park staff, scientists, university professors, teachers, representatives of local governments and NGOs, and activists.
Upon completion of the training, all those who studied hard received certificates of successful completion of the course, and the top 10 students received inventory kits. An annual subscription to Zoom was also raffled off. Congratulations to the winners!
Our students noted that the training was as practical and understandable as possible and asked to repeat the course next year, as their colleagues also dream of such training.
We stay in touch with our students – in the Telegram chat and in the alumni group, we share experiences, interesting things and are always ready to help and advise.
The project is financially supported by the US Forestry Service International Programs, USAID in partnership with Davey Tree Expert Company (developers of i-Tree products in the United States).
